Honduras, Spain Military to Deploy in Lebanon
Madrid - Honduras will
send 54 soldiers to join Spain's
peace-keeping troops in Lebanon.
The accord was signed in Madrid by Defense
Minister Carme Chacon (Spain) and Honduran
counterpart Angel Edmundo Orellana.
The group, made up among other by infantry,
zappers and health specialists, will train
in Spain from June prior to their August
deployment in Lebanon.
The Spanish contingent will be made up of
1,100 soldiers and has 52 Salvadorans in its
ranks since 2008.
