Five Soldiers
Killed in Colombia
Bogota - At least five soldiers were killed
and another eight wounded when an explosive
device went off as they entered a hideout of
the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia
FARC in southern Colombia.
Military forces said a lieutenant, a first
corporal and three servicemen belonging to
rapid deployment forces were killed in the
incident in a rural area of the Vista
Hermosa municipality, in Meta department.
Earlier, these men had found another FARC
hideout, seizing 109 pistols and revolvers,
six rifle cartridges and a machine gun
bipod, among other military supplies.
