ICE Offers
More Cellular Lines Beginning Today
The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad
(ICE) will begin offering this morning
65.000 GSM cellular telephone lines to new
customers who are already on the waiting
list.
Only customers with a reservation number
will be served beginning this week.
The requirements for connecting to the ICE
cellular network - currently the only
network - is a cedula (legal residency or
citizenship), a utility bill (like an
electricity bill) in the person's name, the
cellular telephone and receipt of purchase
and 12.500 colones for the deposit.
Potential customers will have have to be
very patient, although ICE is working with
reservations, the line ups at ICE agencies
beginning today will be long.
