First Proof of Chavez Murder Plot
Caracas - The Venezuelan National Assembly
Commission investigating assassination plots against
President Hugo Chavez will present the first
evidence and recording on the case at the General Attorney''s Office Thursday.
Deputy Mario Isea pointed out the commission has
declared permanent session, and its members plan to
meet with Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro,
Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, and officials
from the Salvadorian government to go into the plot
in depth.
Isea denounced on Tuesday a new murder attempt
against Chavez was planned for the second semester
of the year, as corroborated in a recorded telephone
conversation between the representative of the
Military Institutional Front, Rafael Huizi, and an
anonymous person.
Chavez recently denounced that international
terrorist Luis Posada Carriles was involved in the
preparation of an attack during his attendance at
the Salvadorian presidential inauguration.
The president reflected on justice, and urged US
President Barack Obama to immediately hand over the
terrorist, whose extradition Venezuela requests for
the explosion of a civil Cuban airliner in 1976. |
