Evo Morales Officializes New Oil Wealth
Santa Cruz - Bolivian President Evo Morales
made the kickoff in search for new oil wealth in El
Palmar, department of Santa Cruz.
While speaking at a meeting there, Morales said it
is a government obligation to permanently follow the
trail of investments in hydrocarbons, whose revenues
are essential for the economy of Bolivia.
Morales highlighted the results and said it is
satisfactory to work with responsible partners, such
as private enterprise Gas To Liquid Internacional.
GTLI representative Luis Kinn said the works of
perforation will last 25 days with an investment
over 7 million dollars and a daily production of 0.4
million cubic meters of natural gas.
Last week, the Bolivian government told in advance
that the exploitation of hydrocarbons in the
northern part of Bolivia has started, covering the
regions of La Paz, Pando and Beni, with the
participation of Bolivian enterprise Yacimientos
Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos together with GTLI
There are studies in the province of Iturralde to
find oil with an investment close to 800 million
dollars. |
