Families Of Missing Ask
For Continuation of
Recovery Efforts
The families of the
still missing from the
January 8 earthquake are
urging authorities not
to end their search and
recovery efforts, saying
they wish a proper
burial for their loved
ones.
As of yesterday, eight
people were still
missing and unaccounted
for, after rescue
workers recovered 23
bobies from the mud and
land slides caused by
the earthquake.
The Comisión Nacional de
Emergencias (CNE) is
expected to end its
rescue and recovery work
today (Sunday) or at the
latest tomorrow.
Many say they have good
information of where the
bodies of their family
members can be found,
like the case of Rafael
Murillo Sibaja, whose
family members are
certain that Rafael was
at home sleeping when
the devastation
occurred.
Some are asking
authorities not to
abandon the recovery
operation until all the
missing have been found. |
