Socialist Redemption, Says Chavez
Caracas - President Hugo Chavez said on Friday that
socialism will be the only path to lead
Venezuela to redemption, and called for
defending it from internal and external
threats. During the inauguration of a
synthetic wood plant in the municipality of Guacara, in the state of Carabobo, as part
of the petrochemical revolution, Chavez said
that socialism with Venezuelan
characteristics has started to flourish in
the country.
"Let us take care of it because it is a baby
surrounded by a thousand demons, a thousand
internal and external threats, but it is the
only way leading us to the homeland's
redemption," he stressed.
Chavez said the IMF will not be the one
helping the world to get out of this crisis,
as it was one of the main actors responsible
for the economic and social crisis the
planet is going through.
He said that while in the United States and
Europe they continue closing factories, here
in Venezuela we are opening them.
