Nicaragua Hosts Poultry
Congress
MANAGUA - Nicaragua is
hosting the 20th Central
American and Caribbean
Poultry Congress, which
is being attended by
delegations from 30
countries from the
Americas and Europe.
Present at the meeting
is a delegation from
Cuba, which will host
the 21st Latin American
Poultry Congress from
October 6-9, 2009,
according to Organizing
Committee President
Alberto Ramirez Moreno.
Ramirez noted that the
congress in Nicaragua
would allow promoting
the Havana forum and
exchanging experiences.
Nicaraguan organizers
granted Cuban Business
Attache Rene Ceballos a
plaque acknowledging the
good work of Cuban
poultry workers.
Delegates at the meeting
will upgrade their
knowledge in about 48
lectures by scientists,
experts and
businesspeople.
Moreno told Prensa
Latina that the Cuban
congress's motto, Food
Safety: A Guarantee for
the Future, captures the
aspirations of
colleagues from the
