Venesat I Satellite
CARACAS - The launch of
Simon Bolivar Venesat I
Satellite, a Venezuelan
communication satellite
for the development of
communications and other
sectors, seems to be
going in a direction of
creating a South
American and Caribbean
space agency.
According to Venezuelan
Minister of Science and
Technology Nuris
Orihuela, integration
will allow the exchange
of information among
countries that are in
the process of
developing in this area.

Simon Bolivar Venesat I,
happens to be an
expensive and very
complex technology, it
has no meaning that any
Latin American nation
have progress in this
context in an isolated
way, she stated.
She mentioned Brazil,
Argentina and Venezuela,

the region with space

creation of the
mentioned group.
Venesat I Satellite, to

China on November 1,
will provide satellite
images and information
to South Mexico and even

Caribbean.
