Millions Of Undeclared Money Confiscated at Panama Airport
PANAMA - Undeclared money confiscated at Tocumen international airport in Panama this year amounts to US$4.1 million dollars, reported official sources.

According to the National Customs Authority in data quoted by daily Critica today showed that amount was seized from 105 passengers of diverse nationalities.

In the most recent case, inspectors of the Fiscal Department confiscated us$20.000 and us$200.000 dollars from a Colombian citizen who carried the sum in one of his pockets.

That person was subjected to a body check after declaring he did not carry money to be declared and the mentioned sum was detected.

In general, the seized funds are sent to the National Bank of Panama to be deposited in the Treasury account.
