Peru, Bolivia Reinforce
Security Cooperation
Along Border
Lima - Peru and Bolivia
will step up efforts to
combat smuggling and
drug trafficking along
border areas to enhance
security cooperation,
Peruvian Defense
Minister Antero Flores
Araoz said on Monday.
Araoz said that he will
visit Bolivia from Nov.
29 to Dec. 1, when he
will meet his Bolivian
counterpart Walker San
Miguel to discuss the
issue.
"We are going to
strength and deepen
cooperative ties between
both countries, we have
a large border, a lake
(Titicaca) in common and
we have to keep them
safe," Flores-Araoz
said.
The two defense
ministers will hold
talks in La Paz, the
administrative capital
in western Bolivia.
