Presidents of Uruguay,
Nicaragua Meet
Presidents Tabare Vazquez (Uruguay) and Daniel Ortega (Nicaragua) reviewed
bilateral relations and
exchanged views on the
current regional and
international situation
on Monday, the Uruguayan
presidential office
said.
Without providing
further detail, the
source said the meeting
was of a private nature.
The Nicaraguan president
paid a brief visit to
Montevideo to attend the
14th Sao Paulo Forum,
gathering
representatives of 70
left wing political
parties and movements in
Latin America and the
Caribbean.
In his closing speech,
Ortega urged attendees
to work for the left
wing forces unity,
admitting that each of
them has their own
targets, paces and
demands according to
conditions in each
country.
