Take Time To Enjoy El
Veranillo
Many are taking
advantage of the "veranillo
de San Juan" - the
summer solstice - as the
rains have taken a pause
in the Central Valley,
replaced by sunshine and
"vientos alisios" (trade
winds).
The veranillo won't last
long, a couple of days
at best, as normal
weather is expected to
return tomorrow (Monday)
or Tuesday at the
latest.
However, the rains
continued as normal in
the Central and South
Pacific, as well as the
Caribbean.
Last night, looking over
the mountain range on
the south side of the
Central Valley, the
night sky was filled
with flashes of a
lightning storm in the
Pacific coast while a
warm breeze filled the
Santa Ana night air.
