Venezuela Promotes Land
Revolution
The agrarian revolution
we are promoting is an
inseparable element of
the socialist process in
Venezuela, President
Hugo Chavez said on
Friday.
At a ceremony to hand
over credits,
agricultural implements
and tractors to farmers
in the state of Tachira,
Chavez said no
revolution would have
been possible without a
transformation in
agriculture.
That was a neglected
sector for over 100
years in Venezuela, but
now we are rescuing the
land and granting it to
the farmer to make it
yield with government
aid.
He added that resources
granted will benefit all
equally, with no group
wanting to get rich
through the surplus.
