Triplets For Mother's Day
A woman from the area of La Fortuna, in San Carlos, gave birth to triplets late Thursday afternoon at the new wing of the Hospital Nacional de las Mujeres Adolfo Carit Eva. which was inaugurated by Costa Rican president, Oscar Arias, yesterday on Mothers Day.

The woman identified by her last name Corrales Ugalde gave birth by caesarian section and is in good health, according to Dr. Alberto Donato. The babies - two boys and a girl - are doing well also, except for the second who has showed respiratory problems, and now is doing fine.

While Ana Quesada of Moravia was the first woman to give birth on Mother's Day, giving birth to a baby girl at 5:30am.

Ana Lucía Pereira was to a have been born on August 20. "God wanted that she be born on the 15th", said Ana from her hospital bed.
