Dictator Thugs
BUENOS AIRES - Argentine
oppressor Antonio Bussi
was released from the
hospital and must again
face trial, accused of
violating human rights
during the last
dictatorship.
The 82-year-old former
general left the court
in a trial being held in
Tucuman, alleging chest
pains upon hearing the
accusations against him
for the disappearance of
former senator,
Guillermo Vargas
Aignasse in 1976.
Humanitarian
organizations denounced
the farce of the former
official to avoid an
oral and public trial,
Bussi was taken in a
stretcher and to a
private clinic.
Another former high
official, Luciano
Benjamin Menendez also
must answer for "crimes
of domestic violation,
illegal violation of
liberty, repeated
torment, manslaughter
and illegal association
against Vargas Aignasse."
Both oppressors face 600
cases, during which the
former was head of the
5th Infantry Brigade in
1976 and 1977, and based
in Cordoba while the
second was in charge of
the 3rd Army Corps.
Humanitarian
organizations indicated
that 30 thousand were
executed in the
so-called Process of
National Reorganization
during the military
regime (1976-83)
