The Venezuelan United
Socialist Party (PSUV)
will evaluate specific
problems in every region
of the country as step
before designing
government programs, a
key element in
forthcoming November
elections.
The organizations
leaders said the
diagnostic process will
start soon to make up
proposals that will be
used as a base for the
electoral campaign.
The president of the
Republic Hugo Chavez
highlighted the
importance of regional
elections where 600
posts of governors,
majors and members of
the legislative councils
will be put to the vote.
The head of State
reiterated the need to
keep the positions
already in the hands of
Bolivarian supporters
and move forward to gain
some opposition seats.
For the PSUV Vice
President Alberto Muller
the program will also
allow to evaluate
efficiency in the term
of office of those
elected for public
posts.
Likewise, the idea is to
choose candidates
capable of moving
proposals forward with
approval from within the
communities.
The Patriotic Alliance
is playing a very
important role in that
direction since it also
brings together parties
like Patria para todos
(Homeland for All), the
Venezuela Communist
Party and People's
Electoral Movement,
