Drugs Seized Near Nicaraguan Market
Nicaragua's National Police confirmed on Tuesday the seizure of 700 kg of drugs near a popular market in Managua.

Police Spokeswoman Vilma Reyes said the drug was seized on Monday near the Wholesale Market inside a vehicle which entered the country from Costa Rica.

The kind of drug inside the van has yet to be determined and the drivers/occupants have not been arrested, the police said.

The van was registered by Costa Rican citizen Maryorie de los Angeles Reyes Jimenez and drivers were Barry Marin Jimenez and Hugo Cedeno Obando.

Police also confirmed that the drug belongs to Mexican cartels operating from Guatemala.
