El Salvador hit by 5.2
Richter-scale earthquake
A 5.2 Richter-scale
earthquake shook on
Thursday El Salvador's
central region, so far
neither victims nor
material damages have
been reported.
According to press
reports from San
Salvador city, the
earthquake occurred at
9:47 a.m. local hours
(1547 GMT) and its
epicenter was located at
95 kilometers south of
El Majahual beach, in
the central La Libertad
department.
The earthquake's depth
was 41 kilometers and it
was felt in most of
Salvadoran territory, El
Salvador's National
System of Territorial
Studies (SNET) informed.
The earthquake only
caused fear among
inhabitants, according
to the first
emergency-squad teams'
reports.
