Costa Rica Hosts
Aeronautics Conference
Costa Rica is being host
to a conference uniting
aeronautical
representatives from
Latin America and Spain
to share information on
the topic.
The five day conference
that began yesterday is
being held at the Centro
Nacional de Alta
Tecnología (CeNAT) in
Rohrmoser with the
objective of improving
and updating equipment
and optimizing air
services in the region.
The conference has the
support of the Costa
Rican government through
the Ministerio de Obras
Pública y Transportes (MOPT).
Aeronautic experts from
Mexico, Paraguay,
Argentina, Brazil,
Panama, Cuba and other
countries are attending
the conference.
Exhibiting their work
will be former NASA
astronaut Franklin Chang
and his AD Astra Rocket
Lab and the Spanish
companis GMV and Indra.
The Agilig Group, a US
based company operating
in Costa Rica, that
produces software for
designing airplane
turbines and other
products for the
aeronautical industry in
the United States will
also be represented.
The event is the first
in Costa Rica.
The CENAT was created in
March of 1999 made up of
a board of directors of
the deans of the
Universidad de Costa
Rica, Instituto
Tecnológico de Costa
Rica, Universidad
Nacional and Universidad
Estatal a Distancia.
The CENAT building bears
the name of Dr. Franklin
Chang Díaz. |
