Ministry Issue Alert For Tainted Tilapia From
China
In less than a week since the Ministerio de
Salud detected toxic toothpaste in Costa Rican
stores and sent out the alert for tainted
tilapia fish imported from China, said yesterday
the ministra de Salud María Luisa Ávila.

The Cantón de Osa announced yesterday in a press
release that it will invest ¢604 million colones
(us$1.17 million dollars) to repair some of the
rural roads in the area.

Readied
A 30-year, us$86 million dollar concession for a
highway between San José and Cartago is due to
be awarded in the first quarter of 2008,
national concessions council CNC project
director Guillermo Ramírez said.
