Ferry
Peninsular Back in Service
Following two months of being docked, waiting
for repairs to be completed, the Ferry
Peninsular, went back into service last week.
The ferry left dock on May 31 with no problems
following an extensive review by the División
Marítimo Portuaria of the MOPT, to ensure tha
the ferry complied with all the requirements and
that the repairs were all completed as ordered.
The ferry runs regular trips between the city of
Puntarenas and Paquera, carrying both passengers
and vehicles across the Nicoya Peninsula.
The hours for the Paquera-Puntarenas run are at:
5:00am, 10:30am, 4:00pm and 8:30pm. And from
Puntarenas to Paquera 8:30am, 1:3opm, 6:30pm and
10:30pm.
