Weatherman Predicts
Vacationers Will Enjoy
Great Beach Weather
The Instituto
Meteorológico Nacional (IMN)
- national weatherman -
says that vacationers
can expect hot and sunny
weather that will last
until July 9th.
The IMN is predicting
temperatures to reach 34
Celsius in the Pacific
and Caribbean coasts and
that any rain will be
after 3:00pm.
However, according to
metereologist Gustavo
Murillo, the Central
Valley will continue
with the seasonal
downpours.
The IMN is predicting
good news for surfers as
the waves in the Pacific
should reach 2.7 metres
(9 feet), though, they
are warning to take
precautions.
The Caja Costarricense
de Seguro Social (CCSS)
- social security - is
asking vacationers not
to forget bug repellent
sprays, especially for
those visiting the
Guancaste, Puntarenas
and Limón areas to
prevent being bitten by
the Aedes Aegypti
mosquito, carrier of the
Dengue fever.
The CCSS says that
repellent should be used
in the morning and later
afternoon on the legs,
arms and neck.
Health officials are
also asking vacationers
to be aware of areas of
stagnant waters in the
area their are staying,
a breeding ground for
the Dengue carrying
mosquito. |
