Cool Weather Predicted
For The Christmas
Holidays
The Instituto
Meteorológico Nacional (IMN)
- the national weather
service - is calling for
cool weather during the
next couple of days,
including the
possibility of some
drizzle and strong
winds.
The Central Valley, ibás,
Moravia, Guadalupe, San
Rafael de Heredia, Santo
Domingo, San Pedro,
Curridabat and all the
way to Cartago will be
affected by the cool
weather, which is
typical for the season.
For the hot weather and
sun you will to visit
the beach areas of
Guancaste where the
weather service is
predicting clear skies
and lots of sunshine.
Although scattered
showers can be
encountered in Central
and South Pacific (Jacó,
Quepos, Golfito), the
temperatures will be hot
and there will still be
plenty of sun to go
around.
Christmas in the Central
Valley (San José) is
typically below normal
temperatures and
scattered showers in
normal in some areas. It
is not uncommon to see
people bundled up with
jackets and scarves in
and around San José,
especially at night when
the mercury drops to
around 18 Celsius. While
the daily average
temperatures hover in
the 25 Celsius, it is
cooler than normal.
