San José Lit Up For Christmas
Paseo Colon and Avenida Segunda in San José has its Christmas lights turned on as officials of the Compañía Nacional de Fuerza y Luz and the Municipalidad de San José turned the switch.

The lighting of city is part of the holiday festivities and precursor to the "Festival de Luz" (light festival) this Saturday.

The lights were turned on at 6:00pm and will remain illuminated until January 6.

Included in the lights are holiday designs that include some 50 signs and tree decorations that took 60.000 bulbs to illuminate.
