Bolivia National
Congress approved a law
that establishes
prevention of Acquired
Immune Deficiency
Syndrome (HIV-AIDS),
explained a governmental
source.
According to the Health
Minister Nila Heredia
the rule provides rights
and duties of people
suffering the disease
and the population in
general.
Heredia emphasized the
law's purpose is to
establish policies and
carry out programs for
the prevention and
comprehensive attention
of HIV-AIDS.
It also defines the
State competition and
responsibilities besides
inter-institutional and
inter-sectorial
mechanisms to achieve
the implementation of
programs of attention to
the population, added
the official.
The new law allow
promoting education and
adequate information to
prevent the disease and
avoid discrimination. |
