Honduran Ex President
Denies his Alleged Death
Honduran ex president
Roberto Suazo Cordova
(1982-1986) confirmed
that he called State
Chief Manuel Zelaya
Saturday to deny his
alleged death.
From the private
hospital's bed in
Tegucigalpa, Suazo
Cordova clarified the
rumors and explained
that he was in bed
because of symptoms of
dengue fever.
"I called Zelaya by
telephone, who believed
the fabrication of my
death, sent condolences
to my family and the
Liberal Party (PL) and
order the government
members to give
appropriate funeral
rites ," said Suazo.
The once-dignitary
assured the news came to
the public by
declarations of Honduran
Parliament's president
Roberto Micheletti, from
PL.
The legislator said that
a source, that he did
not identified- told him
that the ex leader had
died and he immediately
told the news to local
reporters.
Suazo Cordova, medicine
graduate, was president
of Honduras National
constituent Assembly and
editor of the current
Constitution of the
