Job Fair Underway
Looking for work? That new job
could be as close as the Barceló
San José Palacio hotel, where
some 54 companies are
participating in the job fair
called Expoempleo 2007.
The job fair began yesterday
(Friday) and will continue until
tomorrow (Sunday), where some
2.500 people are expected to
submit their resumes and hope
for a follow up interview.
According to Karl Hempel,
director of the job fair, more
than 50% of those in attendance
already have a job and are
looking for options to better
themselves, while the rest are
there to make first contact with
potential employers.
The types of jobs available are
in administration, sales,
marketing, international trade,
architecture, accounting,
pharmaceutical, engineering,
psychology, and receptionists,
among others.
The entrance to the job fair is
¢1.000 colones and the hotel San
José Palacio is located on the
General Cañas 1 kilometre
northwest of the Parque La
Sabana, on the road to the San
José airport. The hours are from
10:00am to 6:00pm.
