Six killed in Colombian gas leak accident
Six members of a Colombian family were killed on Sunday when a gas leak occurred in their house in southern Bogota, police said.

Antonio Sanchez, 35, his wife Marlene Lopez, 32, their three daughters, youngest of whom is only 12, and their 11-year-old cousin, died after being poisoned by the gas leaked from the kitchen stove they used for cooking.

"During the cooking process a spill put out the stoves flame and allowed the fuel to fill the family home," said Colonel Edgar Martinez.

Their neighbors in the Maria Cano neighborhood of Ciudad Bolivar called the fire brigade after discovering the accident, and the victims were rushed to hospitals in El Tunal and Bosa.
