Venezuela Will Double Presence
in Havana Trade Fair
Venezuela is planning to double
its presence at the 24th Havana
International Fair to take place
next month in Havana, as the two
countries continue to expand
bilateral trade.
Gustavo Marquez, the Venezuelan
minister for Foreign Trade and
Integration, made the statement
during the official announcement
of the fair.
In 2005, Venezuela was
represented by 57 private and
public businesses and several
ministers and financial
institutions that occupied 170
sq. meters of one of the
pavilions at the Expocuba
fairgrounds.
Minister Marquez said that this
year there will be some 200
Venezuelan businesses
represented at the fair.
The opening of the Cuban market
within the framework of the
integration principles of the
Bolivarian Alternative for the
Americas (ALBA) agreement has
helped revive an important
sector of our productivity and
create an export capacity, he
said.
