Gasoline Price Drop Approved
Get ready for another round of
gasoline price drops.
The Autoridad Reguladora de los
Servicios Públicos (Aresep)
approved yesterday the sixth
consecutive drop that will go
into effect by the end of this
week, following the publishing
in the official government
publication La Gaceta, which is
required within five days.
The price drops was at the
request of the Refinadora
Costarricense de Petróleo who is
reacting to drops in the price
of crude oil on international
markets. Recope says that the
lack of Hurricanes this year
will greatly favour Costa Rican
consumers.
The price of a litre of super
gasoline will drop from the
current ¢513 to ¢499; regular
will drop from ¢485 to ¢469.
A drop in the price of diesel
fuel was approved last week and
is waiting the La Gaceta
publication for it go in effect,
which is expected by no later
than Wednesday.
