Tinoco Back At His Seat Today
Federico Tinoco, the legislator who in being investigated by commission into alleged sexual harassment of a Legislative Assembly employee, will be back at his seat after a two week absence.

According to the unidentified employee, Tinoco demanded sexual favours in exchange for keeping her job.

Lets look at the facts of event. The first news came last month when the woman talked to a news reported of what had happened to her, but she did not name the legislator. However, she broke her silence and on August 31 formally charged the legislator when he rose before the Assembly and spoke out about how we had been misunderstood, that his character is strong and many people misunderstand his vigor and enthusiasm.

The woman, with Glora Valerín, a champion of women's rights, by her side decided to come out publicly to speak out of what really happened. The 39 year old woman and mother 3 children said she was fired from her job by Tinoco. With her husband by her side, she went on national television to tell her story. Her identity was masked.

Fellow legislator were indignated by the accusations against Tinoco and in a move to clean the name of the Legislature a commission was formed to investigate.

The commission is made up of three prominent Costa Rican,  Carmen Guerrero, Hugo Picado and Marielos Alde, who have no ties to the Legislative Assembly or any party.

In the last 26 days, others have come forth to complain of being sexually harassed by Tinoco and though they have yet to declare before the commission, they still have time, until the end of this week, to do so.

Tinoco said that after taking a two week holiday, he would be in the Legislature today.
