Cuban Youth Fulfills its
Commitment
Cuban youth leader Julio
Martinez Sunday stated that the
most important commitment for
youth is to work and fight so
that the ideas boosted by the
Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro
live forever.
Martinez, first secretary of the
Cuba’s Communist Youth Union (UJC),
attended the meeting of the
preparatory commission for the
13th Conference of Youth
Ministers and Ibero America’s
Youth High Representatives in
the Dominican capital.
Cuba, as vice president of that
entity, will hold the meeting
October 18-20, said the official
who expressed satisfaction for
the preparations in his country.
I think, he added, that our
youth has reacted with maturity
and responsibility to the
illness of President Fidel
Castro and so has fulfilled what
he asked us to do, to work and
fight.
That is our commitment, and also
to make his ideas live forever,
he stressed.
