Nicaraguan Army Securing
Elections
The Nicaraguan army began Monday
to spread out over 8,000
soldiers nationwide to guarantee
the normal development of the
presidential and legislative
elections.
According to Gen. Omar
Hallesleven, the Armed Forces
will provide naval, air and
ground support as well as
communication equipments to
transmit electoral data from
far-off regions.
On November 5, Nicaraguans will
elect their president, vice
president, 90 National Assembly
deputies and 20 representatives
to the Central American
Parliament.
