El Salvador Dismantles Child
Exploitation Band
The monitoring to a criminal
network accused of prostituting
children concluded with the
detention in this capital of
several night club
representatives by police
forces, the National Civil
Police (PNC) reported Saturday.
The police detained
representatives from three night
clubs by an order of the
Attorney's Office and were
accused by obliging people
between 14 and 17 years old to
prostitute themselves.
Social organizations and those
defending Childhood and Youth
denounced today that children
prostitution is a problem in El
Salvador, which international
and national networks have as a
link to force children into
prostitution in this Central
American nation.
Investigations carried out by
the PCN stated that Jorge
Alberto Sants, Franklin Josue
Samper and Erelio Escobar were
in charge of contracting
children with the ignorance of
offering work in other
countries.
