Millot Found Not Guilty
Although the Fiscalía (prosecutor) has asked for 35 years jail for each of the five accused of assissinating reported Ivannia Mora, the Tribunal de Juicio de Goicoechea (trial court) found the accused not guilty and were set free last night.

Eugenio Millot, Mora's boss, was accused of being the mastermind behind the assassination, hiring a group of Colombians, two of which killed Mora in her vehicle in Curridabat, as she was stopped in traffic. Two men, riding a motorcycle, shot Mora several times on 23 December 2003.

Millot, emotional, and with his lawyer, who is also his wife, at his side, launced attacks against cheif presecutor, Franciso Dall'Anese, who he says was out to personally persecute him and vowed to take legal action against the Fiscal, who is currently a candidate for court magistrate.

At 4:15pm, the court justices read the not guilty verdict in front of a packed courtroom.
