Panama Fights Drug Trafficking
Panamanian authorities finalize
a bill Monday to be presented
this week to step up the
struggle against drug
trafficking and organized crime.
The Public Ministry announced
the document predicts the
extinction of that illicit trade
and State seizure of goods used
for the illegal activities, like
personal properties, real estate
and bank accounts.
The bill coincides with reports
of a war among drug trafficking
bands to control the market in
this capital, which has claimed
at least eight deaths.
