Poll Shows Salvadorans Dislike President
A survey by the University Institute of Public Opinion in El Salvador revealed Tuesday that Salvadorans consider President Antonio Saca´s performance poor and highlights the people’s rejection of him.

Rodolfo Cardenal, assistant dean of the University, stated that the results constitute an irrefutable sample of the Salvadorian people’s criticism of Saca’s performance in office.

Cardenal attributed these opinions to the worsening economic crisis, the increase of poverty, unemployment and violence, as well as the failure to keep his campaign promises.

Salvadorans consider their president favors rich people and that he fooled them by implementing the US-sponsored Free Trade Agreement, making the dollar the country’s main currency, which they believe, has increased poverty.
