Cuba,
Successful Tourism Fair
The next edition of the
International Tourism Fair to be
held in Havana will be devoted
to the islands´ cays.
Cuban Minister of Tourism,
Manuel Marrero, announced that
1,470 delegates from 42 nations
attended the 26th edition held
in Havana May 9-14 and confirmed
the Havana historical complex
Morro Cabana would be the next
venue.
Canada, maintaining its
permanent bet on Cuba as one of
the greatest tourist destination
and standing as the nation with
the major rate of visitors to
Cuba, will be the special guest.
More than 300 foreign tour
operators, 16 airlines, travel
agencies and other professional
organizations linked to the
sector converged in this 26th
edition devoted to the
Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
and the Popular Republic of
China.
The Cuban minister described the
event as successful and
highlighted the implementation
of important marketing
agreements contributing to
consolidate the Caribbean island
as a tourist destination.
