Cuba Confirms Arab Nations Solidarity
Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque ratified Cuba’s solidarity with the cause of Arab countries during the 18th General Session of the Arab League Summit, Granma newspaper reports Monday.

Speaking at the ministerial meeting taking place in Khartoum, Sudan, the Cuban diplomat voiced his support of the heroic struggle of the Palestinian people to reach self-determination.

Perez Roque also talked of that nation’s right to a sovereign and independent State with East Jerusalem as a capital and the unconditional return of all Arab territories occupied by Israel since June 1967.

He used this event to invite on behalf of the Cuban people, government and President Fidel Castro all Arab League member states to the 14th Non-Aligned Countries Movement (NAM) Summit, to be run in Havana on September 11-16 of the present year.

This Arab nations summit is attended by 22 countries from this organization, whose representatives closely followed the speech Cuban minister, who referred to the need of fostering the NAM.

During the day, the Cuban official met with several Arab Foreign ministers and gave details of arrangements of the Havana Summit.
