Nicaraguan Transport Workers Appeasing
Transport workers who have staged a two-week stoppage in Managua, capital of Nicaragua, asserted more buses will start services from Monday on.

Almost everything is returning to normality, one of the leaders of the demonstrators told the press.

Protesters asked to be paid 1.1 million dollar compensation per month or be allowed to increase the current fare price by five cents.

Ramon Cruz, treasurer of one the bus cooperatives, said their decision to incorporate more buses to service followed the National Assembly Economic Commission´s commitment to approve a governmental proposal.

Authorities said they will pay two million dollars to the sector.
