Gas
Going Up Again
Get ready for another gas hike.
Yesterday, the Autoridad
Reguladora de Servicios Públicos
(Aresep), approved an increase
in gasoline prices of ¢12
colones for a litre of super,
¢13 colones for regular and
diesel.
The increase will see gasoline
prices go from the current ¢463
to ¢475 colones for super, ¢440
to ¢453 colones for regular and
¢313 to ¢326 for a litre of
diesel.
What the increase means to the
pocket book is it will take an
extra ¢540 colones to fill a 45
litre gasoline tank with super
gasoline.
The increase will come into
effect next week following the
publication in the official
government newspaper La Gaceta
which is expected within five
days.
This is the third gasoline price
increase this year, while prices
dropped only once.
