Costa Rica Real Estate Booms with Help from New MLS
The Costa Rica real estate market continues to sizzle, and the addition of a sophisticated multiple listing services has helped spike growth by providing a central location for buyers and sellers alike to do real estate deals in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica boasts a tropical climate, pristine beaches, and an educated populous, many who speak fluent English as their second language. This has made Costa Rica a popular destination for travel, business relocation, second homes, and retirement.

Costa Rica’s recent real estate boom has been driven by an increase in foreign investment, luxury developments on many of the previously uninhabited beach towns, and simplified approaches to real estate.

Cities like Escazú, a suburb of San Jose and home of many political figures and affluent residents, have seen the condominium inventory triple in the last four years. At the same time, an estimated us$100 million has been spent on commercial plazas housing new restaurants and shopping destinations for the cities residents.

The ability to easily locate property within one central database provides prospective home buyers with all the tools they need in countries like the United States. Prior to the launch of EstateRealty.com, which is now attracting realtors, homeowners, and developers to list their properties, Costa Rica did not have a central database with the ability to service the entire country in their real estate transactions.

“I was having trouble looking at properties in different developments,” noted Bill Evans, of Fleetville, Pennsylvania. “The other sites I found were exclusive to one independent development or region,” Evans added.

“We understand the power of the Internet and how important it’s become in this day and age,” said the companies President, Tim Schmidt. “The vast majority of people start their search for real estate on the Internet, and we realized someone needed to pave the way for both buyers and sellers alike to help them in their quest to buy or sell homes across Costa Rica.” With a strong Internet presence and cutting-edge technology, EstateRealty’s growing database of properties connects interested parties from all over the world. “We noticed that many companies in Costa Rica only sell certain projects, or only represent select people, and additionally prospective buyers did not have the tools to buy real estate that are standard in other countries,” concluded Schmidt.

Realtors, developers, homeowners, and investors can list their land, homes, developments, or condominiums on the EstateRealty website within minutes. There is no cost associated with listing property on the website unless the company executes a successful sale of the property.

Based in Escaz˘, EstateRealty.com services all of Costa Rica in real estate transactions while assisting prospective buyers from around the globe find their dream home in Costa Rica.
