U.S., Colombia Hope to Finalize Free Trade Deal
U.S. President George W. Bush and his Colombian counterpart Alvaro Uribe said on Wednesday that they hope soon to finalize details of a free trade agreement between the two countries.

"We've negotiated a free trade agreement. We've still got some details to work out, but we've committed ourselves to working out those details and try to get this done as quickly as we can," Bush said after meeting with Uribe in the White House.

For his part, Uribe said that they discussed the free trade agreement and "some pending points."

The United States and Colombia signed a free trade agreement in February. However, both countries still have some disagreements in the agricultural portion of the pact.
