Salvadorians Threatened by Muggings
Nearly 15 percent of families in El Salvador has had someone attacked on the street at least once in the last three months, a recent LPG Data survey revealed Wednesday.

According to that investigation, 144,300 people have been direct victims of minor crime in those months and 6.1 percent of those surveyed said the victim was a very close relative.

The LPG Data survey was made in 90 urban areas and in 92 municipalities of the country’s four regions, and confirmed that most of the muggings were committed for robbery, second as personal attacks, followed by vandalism and sexual assaults.
