Panama Base of UN Regional Agencies
Panama will be the regional headquarters of UN offices and agencies, which will be install in Ciudad del Saber, Vice President and Foreign Minister Samuel Lewis Navarro has said.

Thursday, speaking before the Commission for Foreign Affairs of the National Assembly, Navarro said that Kernal Dervis, coordinator of UN Development Group, had sent an official notice on the issue.

He noted that Ciudad del Saber, an education, scientific and trade emporium that currently hosts the World Food Program, UN development Program and UN Children´s Fund, will shortly headquarter other agencies of the international body.
