Gasoline Price Hike For Saturday
Take out your calendar and mark
tomorrow with a big red circle
and make sure to fill up your
gasoline tank, for Saturday
there will yet another price
hike at the pumps.
The Autoridad Reguladora de los
Servicios Públicos (Aresep)
approved last week the latest
request by the Refinadora
Costarricense de Petróleo (Recope)
and will be published in the
official government publication
on Friday.
The price at the pumps will go
from the current ¢556 to ¢570
colones for a litre of super;
and, from ¢534 to ¢550 colones
per litre for regular, Diesel
gasoline prices will not change
as Recope did not ask for a
variance.
And for sure this will not be
the last increase for this year,
as Recope will continue to
adjust prices responding to
world market price increases for
crude oil.

answer to high gasoline prices
is the scooter, which is
economical in consumption and
costs a fraction to fill the
tank compared to that of an
automobile.
