Gasoline Prices Going Up Again
Loosing the purse strings,
gasoline prices are going up
again.
Yes, again.
Yesterday, the Refinadora
Costarricense de Petroloe (RECOPE)
asked the Autoridad Reguladora
de Servicios Publicos (Aresep) -
the government regulator of
public prices and services -
for an increase of ˘18.5 colones
for a litre of super and ˘15.7
colones for regular.
If an when approved the price of
a litre of super wil jumo from
˘556 to ˘574,5; and regular,
from ˘534 to ˘549,7.
It was only Tuesday when prices
at the pump jumped ˘30 colones
for a litre of super and regular
gasolines and ˘36 colones for a
litre of diesel.
The latest price increase
request is tied to the rise in
the price of crude oil on world
markets this week, a direct
response to the missile testing
in North Korea.
