Non Aligned Movement in Uneasy World
The 14th Non Aligned Summit will run amid wars, illegal invasions and social maladies that mainly threaten the Third World.

Havana will be the second-time NAM host of 116 countries at the Sept 11-16 Summit, amid doubts the NAM s very existence and the mission to adopt a common stand on the world s fragile situation.

But Non Aligned concepts prevail: non-membership in military blocks, rejection of foreign military bases, defense of self-determination and the struggle for general, total disarmament.

Significant NAM concerns are the US occupation of Iraq, Israel s US-supported invasion of Lebanon, the UN democratization, US efforts to destabilize Venezuela and its anti-Cuba economic blockade.
