Venezuela Opposition Changing Faces
Venezuela´s electoral scene, marked by President Hugo Chavez´ official candidacy for re-election, shows changes in opposition Primero Justicia party's leadership.

Spokespeople for the organization referred to resignation of secretary general Gerardo Blyde, who was replaced by Armando Briquet for "failing to coincide with the line imposed by 80 percent of the party's membership."

They added, however, that Blyde will join the campaign command of Zulia's Governor Manuel Rosales, who is a presidential hopeful for the December-scheduled elections.

The sources revealed other changes in leadership, including the removal of the managing board, which was created in Dec 2005 to face an internal electoral process finally postponed for early next year.

Blyde's resignation has to be with the stand assumed by Primero Justicia leadership in late 2005, pleading for boycotted elections, according to analysts.

Chavez has 55-70 percent of the votes in an estimated electoral roll of 16.3 million votes, according to surveys.
